Interesting premise for a movie. Female Soviet soldier (yeah, not entirely realistic), Chinese peasant, and Jap teenager are forced to assist each other to survive following the Soviet invasion of Manchuria at the end of the war, in spite of language barrier and distrust. Anti war sentiment is strong with this one, as is a hint of anti-Japan, but that is to be expected with anything coming out of China....
Baahubali 1 and 2 are India's most expensive films ever, and they are actually quite enjoyable from the point of view of a western audience. They are excessively long, but the story is rather intriguing. You will need to watch both to understand what is going on; the first sets the stage in the present, while the second focuses more on establishing what led to the events in the first. Not how I would...
Ambulance is a masterclass in action filmmaking from one of America's most polarizing and provocative auteurs. One can zero in on and nitpick the racial casting choices, and specifically the delegation of more heroic qualities to the black lead than to the white one (both flawed criminals), but doing so would be depriving oneself of a deeply human and absorbing story, perhaps Bay's most emotionally...
This movie was written by an Armenian playwright. It captures mid-90's alienation, boredom, and nihilism well. Ultimately, it's about a group of White 20-somethings that loiter around a Paki-run corner store. From the start the main character is upset with the pointlessness of modern Western consumer culture, and gives the key to understanding the 1st worlder's plight: He is alienated. This is what...
A well researched and historically accurate horror thriller set in the world of the Viking based on a medieval story which perhaps originated as a Norse saga. Don't expect a history epic or a film with an uplifting message, this film is a tragedy in the Shakespearean style and it lives up to the hype. It will be refreshing to many to see an All-White cast
Bob Proctor is the best part. The rest of the guests are silly. I like Scott Adams' explanation better. The skepticism is good compared to the whacky claims by these nobodies in the film. Overall, it's pretty good though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ay_P4ze9EU
The writer of this show is a known Japanese Nationalist, and has shown reverence to Imperial Japan, as well as high regard for German (NS) military leaders. With that out of the way, the show (and especially it’s origin work, the Manga) has many references to replacement migration, a sort of globalist elite who enslave and manipulate government and media from behind the scenes, and often blur the...
Horrible. I dont even know how it managed to do it. It somehow was even worse than venom 1. You have to actually be f**king retarded to enjoy this movie. That applies to venom 1 aswell. Both really horrible movies. Theres just nothing good in them. Absolutely garbage. Putrid
this movie is simply great. i still cannot get over the scene of him saying "stand back! im beginning to morb!" it's truly a masterpiece, people above just cannot understand
Absolute junk. This was so painfully slow and boring I can’t believe it was actually produced. There isn’t even an effort towards any discernible plot. There’s just a lot of walking, whispering, and whining. Horrible movie
Obviously one of the best movies ever
WAS AN OK POPCORN MOVIE IF YOU WANTED TO TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF. BUT LIKE EVERYTING DISNEY IS MAKEING WITH LEGACY CHARACTERS IN THEIR OWN FRANCHISE. THEY SIDLINE THE MAIN. TO PROMOTE DIVERSITY SIDE CHARACTER. MAY AS WELL HAVE CALLED IT [DR STRANGE VS THE SCARLET WITCH]
ONE OF MY FAVORIT MOVIES TO COME OUT OF 2019- MAYBE NOT EVERYONES CUP OF TEA BUT AS A WHOLE THE MOVIE FOLLOWS ITS SOURCE MATERIAL WELL AND EVEN THOUGH THE MAIN CHARACTER IS A TAD OP SHE STILL HAS A HEROS JOURNY AND DOSNT COME OFF AS MARY SUE ISH OR "I IZ STRONK FEMALE HEAR ME ROAR". ITS A GOOD SYFI FLICK WOULD RECOMEND
Perhapse my new favorite Tarantino film. other than historical deviations. its pretty solid. perhapse a bit long but you get to know the characters and has some of the best no holes bard you want some you get some fights. to me it was much better than his last one. The Hatefull 8
this movie feels genuine in the story it tries to tell and i enjoy it for what it is showing how powerful folk lore is in different places and turning it into a good psychological horror flick
if you have seen one ralph bakshi movie you've seen elements in most of his others......this story is all over the place and feels like a hippy dispophian nightmare. chronicling one brothers journey to defeat his brother. the plot is simple to understand sometimes painfully so but i do enjoy the creativity that went into it. i love the trippy rotoscoping
Pretty good war film actually doesn't make you walk out of the theatre looking for your local enlistment center
IF YOU CAN ENJOY SILENT FILMS THIS IS A GREAT FIRST......STUNNING IN ITS IMMAGRY FOR ITS TIME I ENJOY THE STORY....AND I WILL CONCIDE THAT IT MAKES SOCIALISM LOOK APPEALING....BUT HEY THIS MOVIE CAME OUT WHILE A LOT OF THAT WAS STILL YOUNG.....ASIDE FROM THAT PRETTY SOLID MOVIE
The reboot of the old 50's show, very little changed in the basic format of the cop show, we still get a serious take on police procedure, we again see Jack Webb as sergeant Friday, we again get a large amount of wonderfully dry interactions and the occasional bits of humor. This time in colour, which makes viewing the show more enjoyable. What has changed is the decade, while the first show started...
This is one of the better superhero movies. It is a competent movie that you can show to anybody and isn't just some dumb flick. Its actually well shot, and while Gotham is mostly shown at night, the movie is still colourful and its always clear what is happening. My doubts about Pattinson were proven wrong, and I think he fits for the role Batman. Batman has an interesting character arc, and his reasons...
