Great movie! Amazing motifs that are cleverly depicted. It will inspire you, warm your heart, and leave you with philosophical questions to ponder in regards to your own life. Definitely go see it!
The "diversity" in the cast was well placed and fitting because the script was all about jazz and show biz. Except for the opening scene which tries to jam as many non-whites in as possible to reach their...
Sequels usually suck. It's hard to balance giving what the audience liked in the first place, and also giving them something new without deviating too much from what clicked originally. Sadly, this film was just the same exact formula, but with slight changes. If it was an homage or two, it would have been cute. But the whole thing felt like one throwback after another, and just came off as lazy.
This...
The white male protagonist is effeminate and incompetent. No big deal, though, because it's a buddy cop movie and they chose to make Jackie Chan the straight man. But Jackie normally does slapstick humor with his fighting, so why not make him the goofy one? Well, they did the same in "Rush Hour" so it's not a white guy thing, per se. When you compare any American to the robotic / hierarchical Far East...
The anti-god themes rating was only there for the most strict religious followers to be warned: reincarnation is a core theme of the movie. But it doesn't preach anything and feels very heartwarming throughout. The average setting is in a farm town with characters out of a Norman Rockwell painting. Perhaps all these reboots and period pieces represent a subconscious longing for the pre 1965 Immigration...
This is a nostalgic film from back in the day. Recently, I was talking to a guy about manifesting and quantum physics and decided to give it a watch. It's free on YouTube right now as well, so I figured what the heck. TL;DR basically everything they say in the film is false. But I am a believer in positive thinking and many successful people are as well. At the very least placebo effect...
There are tons of black people in this film, but that's the whole premise. It's suburban white kids in downtown Chicago with dangerous black people and truckers. So it's fitting to have so many. I only put 1 "affirmative action" rating because even though the blacks often filled relatable stereotypes, there was also a "save the day" type black guy in there. But he's likeable and not some preachy crap....
I was gonna' give it 1 anti god theme, or 1 misandry. Because it zooms out and shows the universe without god, but that's just dumb. Also, the female is a strong bad ass feminist type and flirts with Will Smith (multiple times and even brings up how it's sexist to judge women for being overtly sexual). Which was very cringe to watch. What do you expect? (((Hollywood))) forced BLACKED sh*t is always...
Pretty redpilled movie. Multiple scenes where women admit that they like men who are assh**es and assertive. And that women get their power from their vaginas and withholding sex. Great rant by Patrice O'Neal about that here. (language warning)

And several other things that are true to the female nature. Also, a guy gets raped by a woman ...
Funny movie. Lots of politically incorrect jokes at the expense of trannies, homos, asians, and women. Also lots of very rapey type scenarios. So even though this whole film is the typical Hollywood championing of the victim, it gets a pass because of all the other bashing it does of minorities/betas. At least back then, they could make fun of themselves. But this is probably the last time such a movie...
The reason I say don't pay to watch it is because it's Steven Spielberg and the rumors are that he is a pedo freak. Speaking of which, Corey Feldman is such a great actor and it breaks my heart to think about how f**ked up in the head he is from the child abuse. Puts a damper on watching the film. But then again, he did try to scam people out of money to expose the pedo ring. So just try to put it...
I remembered this being a lot funnier when I first watched it. Pretty okay. There was an unnecessary gay couple I don't remember being in it that wasn't funny, but seemed like pushing an agenda. Also this movie is really Jewish. Had no idea it was so Jewish before I was woke. Guess it makes sense because it's about a bunch of NY Lawyers. But it's irritating that all these Jews who push the gay agenda...
Great film. Absolutely amazing. No wonder it was so popular. I had no idea what it was about and was continually left surprised because I expected a cliché romantic comedy or success story.
Also, the black white buddy cop dynamic felt real and relatable. Very unique. Very heartwarming.
And the debate is always if movies transform the culture or reflect it. In this instance, it seems...
Awesome movie. Hadn’t seen it since childhood but rewatched it and it still stands up. I was wondering how such a creative movie could be done by the Chinese cuz they generally just copy. Turns out Stephen Chow is from Hong Kong like most “Chinese” film people tend to be. He’s also in the film too! I didn’t know. He’s the protagonist in most of his films. I’m gonna’ watch em all. Oh...
American Psycho is a brilliant film, perhaps the best film of the 2000s bar Lord of The Rings. But like LotR, it suffers from one fatal flaw: being inferior to the source material. The movie seems quite toned down in its criticism on the social divides in NYC. Unlike the book, Bateman never says the n-word, and the movie really cools it with the anti-Semitic remarks. A lot of the murder scenes have...
Mostly a warm fuzzy and positive show. Ted is so positive thinking that his wife divorces him. We love the show
The movie has a lot of subversive and decidedly non-Christian actors in it (Benny Safdie, Sean Penn, the Haim sisters themselves), but right wingers who appreciate and cherish good art, which is increasingly hard to find in theaters, should not let that fact turn them off of it. Two major influences on this feature I perceive are American Graffiti and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which were also...
This K-Drama has a main focus on a love story, which shouldn't surprise you, but neither is it disappointing. Where it stands apart from others is the interesting setting of back-and-forth between North and South Korea, and its portrayal of life in the North in particular, which was particularly fascinating, if not necessarily accurate. The suspense, romance, and humour are well balanced throughout,...
As far as I can tell, this movie was supposed to paint uncle Adolf as a goof. It failed. The premise of the movie is that the austrian painter wakes up in modern day Germany. At first he doesn't understand what is going on, but eventually he realizes what has happened. The rest of the film centers around a downtrodden German guy making a documentary about the man who pretends to be Hitler, and the...
This movie was written by an Armenian playwright. It captures mid-90's alienation, boredom, and nihilism well. Ultimately, it's about a group of White 20-somethings that loiter around a Paki-run corner store. From the start the main character is upset with the pointlessness of modern Western consumer culture, and gives the key to understanding the 1st worlder's plight: He is alienated. This is what...
Honestly one of the best sitcoms of all time... Could never be aired today though
