I remember liking this movie when it first came out and before I caught on to the whole woke agenda. In all honesty it is a good storyline. The premise is intriguing and all in all a great idea for a movie. There is just obvious problems that made not able to finish the whole movie: lead characters being extreme diverse - asian, black, white interracial couple - black and white Towards the middle of the movie it started to become this whole message of equality, that everyone should be able to live together in peace and harmony despite the color of your eyes. (story is based on children having some sort of power and the color of your eyes indicate the power you hold) I would love to see a nonwoke version of this movie because I like the idea of such fantasy. The whole agenda just made the movie unbearable. Jennifer Yuh Nelson is the director and she does get a lot of credit for being "a female director" so that should of been the first red flag and well also just the cover of the movie entirely but I just wanted to give the movie a shot again since I had run across it but it was obviously very gay from the get go.
