With the South Korean cinema boom of the last 20 years, it’s easy to forget about their northerly neighbor when it comes to film. I had no idea it was a bucket list item of mind until I realized North Korea has made movies. Now some of you people are probably saying “Zig, how could you be so naive?!? Of course they’ve made films!” But I suppose I’ve always viewed it as incompatible in my head, that and well, no one in my life (both actually and on the internet) has never once spoken about a North Korean film.
