The short-film that lead to Theo van Goghs assassination by a Muslim fanatic and I partially understand why. Van Gogh is a good example of a genuinely politically incorrect intellectual, a man who has no problem going after Jews and refused to back down. That said, this is not a documentary about Islam, it's a very clever short film that punches hard into the dirty underbelly of the Muslim community, it preys on their fears and humiliation, marrying a partner you don't love, seeing your mom get beaten by your dad, incest and rape, it's in there and its painful. In that sense I can understand the pain and humiliation many of those immigrants must have felt when they saw this film, imagine being a Muslim woman and someone reminds you painfully you where married off and the times your uncle raped you. A common part of Muslim life. It's in bad taste, but it's also a honest and hard sucker-punch.
