Ed Wood (1994)

Something to be avoided
Ed Wood cross-dressed in real life and he made a movie about a transvestite. This is a biography.

Day Shift (2022)

Don’t waste your time.
Basically :
Blacks : The Movie, Vampire Edition

Whites can be counted on the fingers of one hand. All characters are blacks or asian.

The whites are the baddies, scumbags, extras, or humiliating characters.
You’ll hear things like « black history month » and s**t.
Non-black characters are either latinos or asians.

The plot is basic, you can easily replace vampires by zombies. Boring and repetitive.

As far as I can tell, no n___s or (((__))) were involved in its production

The director is black. His other movies are also subversive. Why lie about this?

SPOILER: ending of the film explained. Also it was filmed on September 1st, 2011. The more I look into the film the more I think it should be rated 4/5. Pretty good stuff.

>which I think says a lot more about the NY urbanites

The book was written by the same author of American Psycho which he admitted was a commentary on the social circles he was in but moreso about his own perspective. Born in LA.

Film screenplay was adapted by someone else from Canada. But the urbanite thing seems to check out.

@ Beertje Blauw's /feedback/

(Original post was deleted by OP.)

Anyways, I agree with Beertje Blauw for the ideal review. But if you check the /FAQ/ page it says that not every review needs to be about the politics of the film. Or to have a clever hot take.

The number one feature request we got was for aggregate ratings. (Via email and forums, but some proof of that is on the /feedback/ page & the poll there.) Many users just want a quick aggregate and don't care to read the reviews as much. And this is true of most movie review sites like IMDb, MyAnimeList, RottenTomatoes, MetaCritic, etc. Probably 80% of the users just scan a page, check the average rating, skim one or two reviews and then decide to watch it or not. So quality > quantity but we're too few in numbers so RWT's weak point is the quantity imho.

So once I pay off my web dev, the main shift will be:
• add translated Chinese / Russian reviews (hundreds of Douban / Kinopoisk reviews for every movie)
• improve the 4chan algorithm for relevance & word count
• change site name and import a large amount of centrist/normie YouTube reviews

At that point, I think there will be enough in depth reviews for people to find nuance. Then the hashtags like #DissidentRight and username links will become more useful. And eventually we will add filters so that you can sort Audience Reviews by word count/complexity/punctuation/presence of profanity/etc. to find the Letterboxd film buff reviews or straight shooter single sentence reviews.

TL;DR
Don't stress it. Post away! We'll have our cake and eat it too!

I agree about Zizek being interesting and a lot of fun to follow, the guy has a sense of humour, very rare for a leftist. Another leftist I have always respected is Noam Chomsky, mostly because he made some attempt to defend freedom of speech, which is something you see academic leftists do. And of course I have always respect those old fashioned unionists, who really tried to improve the lives of the working class, of course those people are a dying breed.

In my opinion, the best way to add to this site, is to write atleast 2 or 3 paragraphes, try to be serious, with occasionally some humor or snark, try to explain what is good or bad about a film. Then people will appreciate your contribution.

I think it might be the adblocker I am using, I think it uses cloudflare, turning it of and will try to write a short review.
