Awesome and dense enough for repeat viewing
Yes, better than Breaking Bad
First season is great, like a David Fincher movie as a mini-series. Just ignore the annoying girlfriend completely. Second season is trash, although I only got to episode 4 before I gave up and read reviews that affirmed my susp*cious of it being garbage. Boring, progressive, black experience focus, lesbians. Pacing took a complete nose dive and I couldn't care less about the characters anymore. Ultimately...
2.8 Stars My experience playing Starfield was one of initial disappointment followed by a relatively short period of begrudging appreciation which then blossomed into hours open hours of mediocre gameplay in a universe of comfortable dullness. The world building of Starfield is, from a general perspective, pretty decent. Humanity is spread throughout star systems light years away from earth, factions...
3.7 Stars A long slow film with a melancholic tone and forgone conclusion. A narrator guides the audience through the series of events leading up to and after the event the film is named for. The acting and casting are top notch, the subtilty of the character interactions are what makes up for the films unavoidable slow pace and lack of surprises
The action series about aliens was interesting until I realized it was a pretext to show a gay relationship and kisses. I stopped right there. I have little faith in British television after this one.
I'm super torn over this game. It brought things back to the Zelda franchise it sorely needed. But Soo much of the game felt reused from the previous one. Still hardey any story or character Development that would make it feel less hollow. Everything feels like a fetch quest. And only a few long running quests feel like they pay off. The sky feels empty, and the Depths which were the more fun challenging...
F**k this sh*t
This week, Sonny Bunch (The Bulwark), Alyssa Rosenberg (The Washington Post), and Peter Suderman (Reason) discuss Drew Barrymore’s aborted decision to bring her show back sans writers before the WGA...
Midge: I think I see how we see us.
Augie: Hmm?
Midge: I mean I think I know now what we realize what we are.
Augie: Okay.
Midge: Two catastrophically wounded people who don’t express the depths...
Tim Ballard, the real-life inspiration for the hit movie "Sound of Freedom," has been accused of sexual misconduct in a report from Vice News, which cited anonymous sources saying at least seven women...
A Haunting in Venice is based on Agatha Christie’s novel A Hallowe’en Party and is the third of Kenneth Branagh’s adaptations of her work. I enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express and Death on...
Warning: Astronomical spoilers ahead!
As soon as They Cloned Tyrone was released on Netflix, the movie was praised as a modern classic. Mixing 1970s Blaxploitation with elements of comedy, horror, and...
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is urging U.S. Southern Command to reschedule “without delay” its two screenings of the hit movie "Sound of Freedom" after an inquiry by journalists earlier this month led...
Eh, still better than sitting next to Rep. Boebert
I’ve always believed that decline is a choice, and one place we seem to have chosen decline is at the theater, both live and cinematic....
I'm probably bumping this up half a star to push back against some of the Branagh-slander I've seen about this and the other Poirot movies. These movies are fun and serious with just a little ham and...
On his third try, Kenneth Branagh gets an Agatha Christie movie right. I had mostly given up on the once-heinous mystery series, dragging myself to his new “A Haunting in Venice” like I was the poor...
You can bet your next dolla I already bought my boy's sick cover of Maneater. I'm lukewarm on JLaw but she really kills it here taking on a role that changes relationship stereotypes. There's lots of...
It’s impossible to hate a movie about immigrants embracing the American dream.
Even “Flamin’ Hot,” which turned the “inspired by a true story” phrase upside down, showcased the hustle and...
I've never been one to like anime in fact I always had a disgust for it since the usual stuff is fat 30yr old virgins watching degenerate girl type animes. My s/o is super into anime so I wanted to be open minded and give it a try. A friend recommend this one and wow I was surprised on how much I like it ! The creativity and 'weirdness' is just entertaining! Idk how many times I asked him when can...
