It's a Wonderful "Shrek"?

It is verboten that I review “Shrek Forever After” until it comes out next month, but tonight I caught the world premiere of the movie, which was prominently billed on the marquee at the Ziegfeld as “the final chapter.” (How did that work out for “Friday the 13th”?) I can tell you that the story is heavily inspired by “It’s a Wonderful Life,” with Shrek tricked by new villain Rumpelstiltskin (who keeps getting referred to as “Mr. Stiltskin”) into signing a contract that takes us to a Far Far Away turned into Potterville. Shrek gets a look at how things would have been if he had never existed.
