Come, let's sit and watch a family in poverty
Monocultural cast, characters, setting, but this is a Turkish film. The pace of the film is very slow in today's norms, but it gives you some time to think.
It paints a picture of poverty that I suspect wasn't uncommon in the west either, but feels almost alien today.
Much like a striking book, I sometimes find myself referring back to this film when faced with questions about life.
