Great film. Absolutely amazing. No wonder it was so popular. I had no idea what it was about and was continually left surprised because I expected a cliché romantic comedy or success story.

Also, the black white buddy cop dynamic felt real and relatable. Very unique. Very heartwarming.

And the debate is always if movies transform the culture or reflect it. In this instance, it seems much more like a movie that was not preaching, but just reflecting the broken families many of us are accustomed to. But it emphasized the importance of love and personal sacrifice for the sake of a strong family. Great morals. Great message.

Also, lots of foreshadowing and good dialogue. Dry humor. I am truly impressed and I was tearing up during the film. (Bit awkward since I saw it on a flight just now...)

Definitely watch it! Pay to do so!
