Didn't know what to expect because I avoid trailers and even avoid reviews before watching something. Just now read Beertje's review after seeing the film. It's been on my To Watch list forever and finally got around to it. Highly recommend if you like low budget indie films that have to rely on chemistry, dialogue, premise, creativity, etc. I agree that it's not much of a horror film but those are the horror films I like. Psychological thriller and all about a creative scenario. The ending was well worth it imo, so stick around. There are some unanswered questions though that they leave up to the viewer. Was that fat guy the one who took her son after all? And some predictable things like the house she wandered on after trying to escape being the same house she bought or how he was gonna' drown her after the first two dunks ,but overall I was very engaged and curious how things would unfold. I do wish the budget was just a bit bigger because the demons looked a bit goofy and were obviously just drama students in body paint. I also agree that real life people obsessed with the occult are just nerds. People who look like Styx. Listen to some of the Artbell archives to listen to interviews with self described witches. Pretty goofy and not nearly as cool as what you see in this movie.

Anyways, I really enjoyed the film and am really happy with how they ended it.

Oh, but I guess that tired cliché of grief in a horror film was still there. Definite minus points but still recommend it.
