One of the advantages of the modern video-sharing platforms like YouTube, is that it opens up the possibility of a completely new kind of short documentary format that can focus on niche subjects that would never work on TV-channels. In this case it's animated and narrated explanations of (mostly ancient and medieval) battles, clearly explained and with the needed historical context. The amount of content means you will always find something interesting to watch. I certainly learned a lot from this channel, not to take my army through dense mountain passes, don't chase down your enemy, but refocus them on the remaining troops, archers don't work up close and that people are more likely to run then to fight. https://archive.org/search?query=creator%3A%22HistoryMarche%22 https://www.youtube.com/@HistoryMarche
