The Little Mermaid Could Go BELLY UP at the Box Office?
Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid might flop like a fish. It's currently tracking between $70-90 million on opening weekend, which is MUCH lower than Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. While still too early to call it, even media outlets that were historically pro-Disney are calling out how AWFUL the VFX are, with Flounder in particular being called nightmare fuel.
