Show Me Love, 1998 - ★★★★

This is a movie where the beautiful people win and the not so beautiful lose. It felt very realistic and Moodysson paints the characters in an efficient and human way. It reminds me of the popular teen movies that were coming out in the late 90s and early 00's, but slightly edgier (for the time period).

What struck me as very realistic was the ex-friend who maintained a vendetta against Agnes and would tell people that Agnes tried to grope her. She was so obviously in love with Agnes and doesn't want to admit it, but, being a spurned lover (in her mind), she wants Agnes to feel as much shame as possible. There is no wrath like teenage jealousy!

I wanna also point out that Ulf Brantås is an absolutely amazing cinematographer. Every shot of this film is beautiful.
