What a lovely early example of a fantastical adventure film, naturally the film quality is no longer very good, but if you look beyond the grime you will find an imaginative, fun little piece, with beautiful matte paintings, well designed sets and colorful characters. It equally works well as a comedy, I think to viewers on this website seeing a bunch of early feminists, being kicked around is equally amusing and the soundtrack can be very good, depending on which version you wish to watch. Naturally, its not a modern hollywood blockbuster, or even a later talkie, but the film should be placed in it's own historical period, the reason I am giving this a 4 and not a 3.
