Emancipation (2022)Movies

I am genuinely BAFFLED by the color filter slapped on this movie. It’s borderline unwatchable. There’s good stuff here (though I think it works better as an exploitation flick than as Oscar bait) and Fuqua can shoot the shot out of a chase/battle scene. But the whole thing looks like it was shot as day for night, which becomes even more distracting when there’s fire in a scene, which they have to digitally re-add color to.
