Stranger aka Secret Forest is a S Korean cop show, focusing on a somewhat autistic lawyer and a lady cop who work together to solve a murder mystery. It's a bit slow at times, but nonetheless intriguing. It manages to have an appropriate blend of dialogue and action, and avoids obvious conclusions by the audience. As is the case with most east asian productions, none of the diseases that plague western media are present. You won't see tyrones and limp wristed ones appearing for no reason, nor will you have that annoying uberchad cop trope that American cinema seems to love. The female lead here is not an irritating superwoman either, rather, she fits the role well. The second season is not quite as good as the first. It's worth watching if you particularly enjoy the first, otherwise, maybe skip it.
