Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, 2022 - ★★

The world's superpower does its best to protect its nation from Mexicans illegally crossing its border.

But seriously, did it need to be almost 3 hours long? This same story could have been told in 2 hours or less. It's one of those movies where if characters talked for like 10 minutes, they could avoid most of the film's conflict lmao

The film felt unfocused and had large stretches in which almost nothing of import happened. I won't spoil the ending, but it pretty much ties up like any other Marvel movie, except with its "revenge is le bad" moral, it actually ends up feeling empty, like so much of the film didn't matter all that much. There were other weird plot holes and contrivances that stuck out to me, but I'll get into those on the podcast rather than here so I can keep this spoiler-free...
