Rumble in the Bronx is often cited as a nostalgic example of Jackie Chan's Kung Fu cinema, by many whom probably saw the film in the 90's or early 2000's and are only recalling a faint memory of the action-packed scenes and top-tier choreography. .. However, What they fail to include in their nostalgic recollections is the clunky dialog, and a story line that limps along nonsensically, and the Warrior's style multi-cultural street gangs that absolutely do not represent the racial demographics of criminals in the Bronx accurately. Jackie chan plays a immigrant kung fu genius and silly muscle boy in the strange land of America, His uncle who happens to have a fetish for thicc african queens gives him a job at his grocery store. Jackie, after defending the store is embroiled in a conflict with a gang, which then creates an even bigger conflict when diamonds get involved and he must deal with more organized criminals, including the organized crime boss known as "White Tiger" (because he is white). This however is just a lazy vehicle to limp from fight scene to fight scene and car chase to car chase. While the stunts and choreography are very entertaining, that is about all there is to say about this film. You can find much better action in one of Jackie's other films, such as "Police Story" or "Armor of God" these films are much more well rounded. If you are an absolute Jackie completionist or if you simply want to see some nice choreography and don't mind the multi-cultural gangs, this might be a fun flick for you.  I say, watch "Police Story" instead.
