I like this film for the northern atmosphere in its region of Canada. Idk why this is seeing as how i grew up in the American south and never have traveled that far north....i digress the atmosphere pulls me in its the same with Jaws. to make a long story short miners were trapped years prior with only one surviving via cannibalism after going mad. He later killed the mine forman and other who led to his madness on feb 14th. years after he is sent to an insane asylum the town feels it can celebrate valentines day again only for killings to start happening again.
