Probably one of the best anime I've seen in the past few years. It doesn't stray too far off from the historical narrative it tries to portray. aside from epic fights and the like. Set in a pivotal time in Britons history amid the struggle for Christianity to survive amidst fighting with Nordic Paganism. Neither of which is portrayed in a positive or negative light. the story follows Thorefin who followed his father to a battle he had no business following him to. without spoiling too much the first bit follows the rise of Danish king of England Cnut, and thorfins actions leading up to said matter. its only partly done ....so i cant wait for anoter season
