Watched this documentary yesterday, after browsing through a streaming site, I noticed the name Werner Herzog, so I knew I was going to get something delightful. The documentary does not disapoint, what we get is a religious journey into Chauvet cave, one of the oldest and most beautiful of the prehistoric painted caves, guided by choral music we slowly descent into the chambers and witness horses, rhinos and lions come to life. A beautiful and slow documentary that is able to both inform and pull the viewer into the world of the paleolithic, all under the guidance of Herzog's own smooth voice.
