This is the best kind of anime you can hope for. "One Piece," "Dragon Ball Z," "Naruto," and the like, go on forever. There's tons of filler. If you're not typically a consoomer such a commitment is daunting. As it should be. But the anime that's only 12 or 24 episodes is the kind you want. This is heavy in dialogue though, and SUB is the only way to watch anime in general. So it may be annoying if you're not used to that, but the art and soundtrack will make up for that. The social commentary is on point albeit a bit foreign to Westerners as is to be expected. The way the plots all weave together in the end is very "Always Sunny" / "Crash" / Larry David -esque. Or somewhere in the middle since the humor is fairly dry. Either way, definitely recommend it if you're into artsy / indie stuff.
